NATIVE AMERICAN ART SHOWSaturday, August 30 from 6-7:30PM Chaw'se Indian Grinding Rock Regional Museum, Indian Grinding Rock state Historic Park Pine Grove. The public is invited to opening reception on 8-30 to preview art and meet the artists, followed by the Franklin Miwok dance group in the Roundhouse at the Park. Show opens August 31 thru Sept 28, open during museum's regular hours. There is no charge for the art show. If people stay to visit the rest of the park, there is a $6 per car day use fee. Show will feature a youth artist exhibit with prizes awarded from a memorial fund established in honor of the late Washo gourd artist, David Snooks.

CALLING ALL SINGERS! The Amador Choraliers will begin rehearsals Tuesday, September 9th at 6:30PM at the Amador High School Band Room in Sutter Creek for concerts in early December. They are always looking for new voices, especially men! Rehearsals are weekly on Tuesdays (with some Thursdays) from 6:30 to 8:30 or 9:00 at the Amador High School Band Room in Sutter Creek. SUTTER CREEK BLUES & BREWS will be Saturday, September 27 from 5-9PM. Brews, food and music by the Shane Dwight Band and Daddy Chillin'. Tickets are $20 per person. Weekly (weather permitting) the AFAC will host a yard sale/art show event. The yard sale section is in the gravel area and the art show will be under the walkway. Set up is at 8AM on but if someone wants to set up at 6 am for early birds, they are welcome to do so. A space is 10x10 and is only $10.00. Call Tina 296-6919 for info.

Photography Classes with Sue Sparks. Sue Sparks offers one-on-one beginning and intermediate photography lessons in her studio. Classes are tailored to the individual and include topics such as “exploring your photos from a fresh prospective” and “exploring photo treatments,” which includes instruction on Polaroid emulsions and image transfer techniques. The Leather Souls perform every Sunday afternoon at 4PM at the Drytown Club, Drytown. Founded by guitarist Allen Frank. The Leather Souls perform original and traditional blues and jazz.
