    The Progressive Women's Committee is a monthly luncheon group that is in its fourth year.  Originally started with some volunteers from the 2004 campaign, who wanted a place to meet and talk, without the person next to her having voted for GWB.  We've loosened up a little since those early days and now we welcome all progressive women who are interested in local issues as well as those on a state or national level.

   Members are as diverse as the issues we raise:  local business women. community activists, retirees, and interested residents. Often, we have a speaker, and other months we have sort of round table discussion on whatever interests us at that time. Occasionally, we will have an open meeting for a special speaker, to include spouses or friends.

   Please come and join in the fun.  At this time we have no dues or officers, but occasionally we will take a simple vote of those present, if we want to make a statement on a local issue.  We generally meet on the first Thursday of each month.
